Blue Sabbath
July 30, 2005I did wake up today early.Had my non fat breakfast and start jumbling around my audio cds.I did listen to some oldie songs till afternoon,it was quite relaxing and a great way to unwind, for me.haha.Come afternoon i did not eat lunch, instead i ate breads and jam..oh!.Really tasty(but dull,im missing the oily foods!)haha. After that, got into the shower and back upstairs to watched some movies.I did only gone down again when my mom told me it was dinner time.”Sinigang” is our dish..yeah..great for my stomach.less fat and with vegetables.I did take some meds after that then gone up again till now.i’ll go to shower later and sleep by 12,But im still surfing and downloading some things in the net so let me enjoy.haha.This day was fine,i did got to rest a lot on a blue sabbath.

Microsoft strecthed thier release date of thier new OS “VISTA” by December of Next Year.fickle minded microsoft!haha
Vista is coming!
July 28, 2005With it’s Introduction a week ago.Microsoft released its first beta of their new OS coming on 2006 “Microsoft Vista” which was the same one that the company codenamed “longhorn”.Im very enthusiastic to see this new OS very soon! Many new great features for the demanding as well as the usual computer users. The final and Retail Vista will start shipping by mid next year.Meantime here is the factsheet of Microsoft Vista beta 1.
Ready your PC for VISTA:
Processor (CPU)
As a general guideline, just about any mid-range and better processor shipping from Intel or AMD is a good fit for basic functionality in Windows Vista. The lower end of the current processor range will work, but those processors won’t provide the optimal experience for most users and definitely won’t provide the best experience for high-end gaming or video editing.
Both AMD and Intel are starting to ship dual-core processors at the upper end of their processor lines. These powerful processors will be excellent choices for Windows Vista.
Now is the time to decide whether you’re ready to make the jump to a 64-bit processor. The current x64 processors from AMD and Intel will be excellent processors for Windows Vista, and I think we’ll see a widespread move to 64-bit by the time Windows Vista ships. The x64-enabled processor lines include the AMD Athlon 64, AMD Athlon 64 FX, Mobile AMD Athlon 64, and AMD Turion 64, Intel Pentium 4 with EM64T, and Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition with EM64T. Because these x64 processors will run 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows equally well, and because these processors are at the upper end of the processor spectrum, they are an excellent choice in getting ready for Windows Vista, and they let you build a system that’s ready to move into the 64-bit processing world whenever you’re ready.
Memory
To take better advantage of Windows Vista functionality, you should have at least 512 MB of RAM, on your PC. This provides enough memory for both the operating system and a typical application workload. And while 512 MB is great for many scenarios, more advanced users will want 1 GB of memory or more. If your typical workload is heavy, you do a lot of image editing or development, or you run multiple applications all the time, then more memory is good. In general, an investment in additional memory is wise, and you should certainly make sure that the computer you buy has room to add additional memory later.
Graphics
One important thing to keep in mind as you’re thinking about the graphics capability of your new system is that while Windows Vista will have a new and graphics-intensive look, it will also be able to automatically and gracefully degrade down to the current graphics look of Microsoft Windows XP.
The new graphics capabilities in Windows Vista will require a powerful graphics engine if you want to take full advantage of all the new and cool stuff, such as the new AERO Glass look. While more information about specific drivers or video cards will come later, some general rules can prepare you for getting the most out of Windows Vista. You probably want to avoid the low end of the current GPU range and make sure you get a GPU that supports DirectX 9 and has at least 64 MB of graphics memory. Then, if you’re building a PC, choose a design that includes a separate PCI Express or AGP graphics card. This way, even if the card you choose ends up not being an optimal choice, you can easily replace just the graphics card. And the choice of AGP or PCI Express will ensure that you have sufficient bandwidth to support the enhanced graphics of Windows Vista.
If you chose a system that has built-in graphics, again make sure that the system has a PCI Express or AGP slot that will let you add a graphics card later in case the onboard graphics chipset doesn’t fully support Windows Vista.
When choosing a notebook for use in Windows Vista, you run into the obvious trade-off between better graphics or thinner and lighter form factor. The notebooks with the best graphics capabilities tend to be the larger, heavier, desktop replacement notebooks, and not the thin, light, Tablet PC-enabled ones. Exactly which chipsets will end up fully supported is still open at this point, but specifying the higher end of the chipset choices from NVIDIA or ATI is probably indicative of the range—and more concrete information should be available at a later date.
Storage
Windows Vista will enable some exciting new capabilities for digital image processing, and those capabilities will push the need for large amounts of storage ever higher. If you’re buying a PC, specifying one with a large hard disk is a good idea, but even more important will be the ability to add one or more additional hard disks later if you find you need the extra storage capacity.
Because the hard disk is generally the slowest core element in your PC, you can often get useful gains in overall performance by carefully selecting technologies that improve basic hard disk performance. The typical Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) hard disk has a speed of 7500 RPM and a 2 MB cache. By selecting a Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) drive with an 8 MB cache and Native Command Queuing (NCQ), you can give your system a boost in performance, especially if your typical workload involves running several different applications simultaneously.
A DVD drive that is capable of both reading and writing DVDs will be an important element of a Windows Vista PC. These drives have come down in price dramatically, and you should look for a drive that can handle both -RW and +RW formats (i.e., DVD±RW) to ensure maximum compatibility.
Networking
Windows Vista will take full advantage of the connected world in which we operate, so you should make sure that the PC you buy has the latest networking capabilities built into it. For a laptop, this means built-in 802.11 wireless capability, and for the home PC, you should include at least 100 Mb of Ethernet capability. Adding wireless 802.11 capability to a home PC gives you greater flexibility in where you use that PC and makes it easy to connect your mobile laptop to your home network.
Summary
As you can see from the guidelines I’ve covered in this column, you don’t need to choose an absolute top-end computer to ensure that it will work well for Windows Vista. But you do want to make choices that are at least at the midpoint in the general price range. You also want to pay special attention to making decisions that give you maximum flexibility later to upgrade individual components as appropriate. This is a good idea for any PC decision, but it’s especially important for choosing a Windows Vista-ready PC.
Note: Features discussed on this site are subject to change. Some may not be included in the final product due to marketing, technical or other reasons.

Looks like i really have to upgrade my pc this year!hahaha..so lets see…
4 stones and a scar
July 27, 2005Ohh yeah..Alive again! You’ll probably notice that it has been a week or so from my last entry. The strory,I was Hospitalized due to(as i complained, stomachache) but the story was bigger.Luckily,my mom insisted to have some check-up/lab test. Then we went to Dr. Unson,Cardiologist/internal medicine(almost a family doctor/friend of my mom)Wednesday afternoon,He did the usual check up and recommended as my mom and i expected,an ultrasound test for my tummy(By then i predicted that something serious is brewing)..haha.Thursday morning,we went to the hospital again for my scheduled ultrasound.9am i entered the lab of the hospital and the docotor(i dont know who he was,but i was kinda “intimidated” by him because he had a bluetooth headset while calling someone talking english,he saw me and talked to me in english then i spoke with him with english also.He then started the ultrasound machine and begin to investigate my “guts” inside my body.haha.after a few minutes he said “there is the culprit”.Gall stones inside my gall bladder.4 visible on the machine.OHHHHHH! it was quite interesting i’m not scared at all because as a child and growing up,im a hospital friendly person(balik ng balik!)haha. After that we forwarded the results to Dr. Unson(in that same hospital). After he had seen the result,He said there is no medication for that, surgery is the answer. He Added “Ang Bata mo pa,But i had the same case patient who was only 16 years old.” Naturally my mom did her usual hysterical bla bla eg. “Diyos ko!”(But good thing Dr. Unson and my mom had a good chemistry of things so she is quite calm but also quite nervous). For me When Dr. Said that i was for surgery,i did not got scared only a little suprised.Well,FYI:This situation can happen to anybody who doesn’t care about what they are eating. It is caused by oily/fatty foods(MCDO,other fast food establishments and restos). In my last 5 years of food intake,i ate about 90% from the these food establishments.haha.10% food from house which is somewhat oily too(hotdogs, eggs, hams, other supermarket foods).Dr. unson added that the sooner im operated the better so my mom and dr. decided that i will be scheduled for friday which is tomorrow by then.We went home with my dad driving and pack some things and headed back to the hospital which i was admitted/confined that thursday afternoon. While my mom and dad is busy doing the admitting thing.I headed to the hospital room which i will stay,it was quite cozy..After that,i was given a temporary pian reliever.About 4pm,someone did enter the room,The surgeon Dr. Luna,He Did explain to me what he will do and the process of “cholecystectomy”(The removal of the gall bladder) He Added if only the gall stones will be removed they will manifest again for the coming years if i abused my eating so naturally there is no use na for my gall bladder,So he said “We will remove the stones WITH the gall bladder”.He looked like joker arroyo white haired about in his late 50’s.He was Great though of explainig to me,the patient of what he will do to me.My Mom did question him a few things like side effects of it.He Said “There would be some like:Feeling bloated when i eat fatty foods either than that the body will normally function without a gall bladder like the appendix”.So he left after that. Then come 5 pm someone visited me again, now, the Anesthesilogist,Dra. Catubay dropped by.haha.She was blossoming in perfume.Asked me about my medical history to know what/how much anesthesia would be right for me(this is the hard part),She then ordered to put me on nebulizer(to be sure my asthma would not attack during or after the operation). After that, dinnertime,The Mealguy of the hospital knocked at the door and gave a tray of low fat diet meal(on a red card with the meal).Thats interesting!haha.from that moment on,i’ll be on that diet every single day of my life. After that meal ill be on fasting(no meal before surgery, which is scheduled friday 130pm).I watched some axn then, texted some friends, visualizing how will the cut on my tummy will look like(haha!),and got to sleep.Friday morning at 6am,the resident doctor(which was quite pretty, young and sexy!) i did not got her name!d^mn!haha. She administered the needle(which is quite large) for the swero/dextrose.She decided to insert it right after my hand because my viens in the hands are small that the needle can’t fit right in.She then inserted it,i was a bit painful cause its long and thick(not the usual) after she inserted it,the needle is then remove and the plastic vien like tube will remain in.So there it was.Dextrose running in my viens.I was lying there waiting in my room after that.by 10am,nurses came in and gave me a full dose of “sleeping agent” the oil colored fluid in my iv,you can actually feel it rushing in your viens quite painfully.after that one,she injected me,in my arm a clear fluid(antibiotic) a small painfull one!its like the needle reached my bone!sh*t!but i was quiet,no reaction and observing things,i was so curious about everything(though im familiar with hospital and medical bla bla).By 11 am i was very dizzy, but not yet asleep.Groggy as the nurse said the i would feel after she injected it.By 1 pm i was rushed to the Operating room.I remembered i was in O.R. rooom #1.In the operating room,4 doctors and some nurses are preaparing the tools and lights.Dra. Catubay, the anesthesiologist the first to talk to me in the or,saying that it will be allright.Yeah i know!haha. She did question me how did i loose weight and all that.so i said i went to an endoctrinologist when i got too fat then,i lost more than a hundred pounds. She said “That’s Amazing”..haha..I was really dizzy then(as in),i knew she was keeping me talking and not to think about the surgery.but i did not fear anything about surgery or needles etc.”There is nothing to fear in life,it is only to be understood” My motto!.After that The surgeon,Dr. Luna and two other doctors did prepare thier suits and readying for the operation.whew! That was the last thing i saw and heard. But i knew dra. Catubay did inject the anesthesia in my spine before Dr. Luna started the operation.I was asleep(perfectly) during operation!haha. The operation was on time.. When i woke up on the recovery room i was suprised it was 9pm,im dizzy, groggy, and in pain.i remembered i did vommit and the doctor there gave me a little container right on the side of my head to vommit on..whew! I remembered it was green slimy, which incedentally some of my bile..ewwwwwwwww! At about 10 pm.i Was Back on my room, but i hardly noticed it,because i was too druged to see, hear things..The first two days after surgery was the most agonizing(injections after injections, medicines, regular nurse visits, and couple of dextrose plastic bottles consumed)The doctor did tell me the operation did not go quite smoothly(a long 3 hours) thats why i did woke up at about 9pm that day in the recovery room.hey but i did it!im here to tell it!haha.I did start to walk again on sunday evening(still groggy)haha.I stayed at the hospital till earlier morning after being cleared by the doctors(Dr. Luna,Dr. Unson and Dr. Catubay) and the resident doctor cleaned again my 6-7 inch diagonal wound in my tummy which is going to be a scar, after that i went of the room. The bill, yes the bill, was grusome!haha. And Doctor’s Fees are Brutally grusome!specially Dr. Luna and Dra. Catubay’s.D*mn!But it’s ok said my mom,at least im allright now.The money is well spent for thier top of the line medical services in on of the best hospitals in our place.Well,i am now with some afterpain of the wound and still not ready for long walking or even carrying things. But ill fully recover by next week..Hmmm..I just want to share this story to those who are not aware of what might be effects of constant eating of fatty foods and to those who are almost everyday costumers of big food chains.Other than that,I can say i did change my outlook now in life. Not only the food lifestyle aspect, but setting your priorities and important things in your life first.some of my friends did visit me in the hospital, relatives, but i did not see her,Its ok you know.I know you have a good heart though your afraid of showing it.You really did gave me the strength although your not there, just thinking of you and some wonderful times.haha.I really did change(i was feeling like i am RENTON from the movie trainspotting)Choose Life!so from now on,ill look forward to the priorities in my life,to graduate,to have a job,to get a good benefit program(for me and for a future family, its very hard to pay hundreds of thousands now for emergencies).to have a bussiness.haha.to live my single life to the fullest with my friends and least of of to find or to be found by love in the near future..haha!joke!Thank you to all the doctors who helped me!
Choose Life!
So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers, all false. The truth is that I’m a bad person, but that’s going to change, I’m going to change. This is the last of this sort of thing. I’m cleaning up and I’m moving on, going straight and choosing life. I’m looking forward to it already. I’m going to be just like you: the job, the family, the fucking big television, the washing machine, the car, the compact disc and electrical tin opener, good health, low cholesterol, dental insurance, mortgage, starter home, leisurewear, luggage, three-piece suite, DIY, game shows, children, walks in the park, nine to five, good at golf, washing the car, choice of sweaters, family Christmas, indexed pension, tax exemption, clearing the gutters, getting by, looking ahead, to the day you die.

What is in the package?
Rainy season is in full blossom now.Sentimental season for me.haha.Right after going to the office.I watched “Pinoy Blonde”.I did expect it to be an indie film with the pinoy roots. While Watching the Film,The suprises keep on coming. All the Artists, even the extra roles are stars(only a great director can do that, bringing probably the biggest names in local entertainment to a single meaningful film). The Often Bad words of ours is like embeded in the srcript(suddenly,i had thoughts of pulp fiction)but it does authenticate the film in a way.The plot is nice, but it has deeper meanings to the present situations of our society.Talking about Lino Brocka & Ishmael Bernal in the film is one great debate/contrast,but in my personal view, the two of them cannot be compared because they have different styles in telling/directing a story. It’s Really fun to watch and a double plus if you are a film buff.It also Exploits the underground society and the aspects of it.My memorable quote for this movie is : “Eto lang alam ko eh” said by epi’s Character. It did Reflect to me.Because The Real message of the film as i analyzed it is “this is REALITY”.And i also think,That is gallaga’s package is all about “Reality” We either turn blind on it or accept what is true and maybe do what is right. To the Director,Peque Gallaga,I bow to you!haha.Right after the film i headed to tower records and bought a soundtrack of this film(indie bands!)haha.I’m Listening to it right now!I’ll do my usual soundtrip.ok.Till Later!
Drive-in my Saturday..
July 16, 2005Saturday morning..i woke up at about 8 am.Turned on my pc and have some breakfast. These past days,i was kind of tired after the trainings so i wasnt able to update my blog(too lazy to do even the uploads!haha).Currently i’m listening to my recently aquired cds, from the PUTUMAYO section of tower records.I bought the “Latin groove” and “Rumba Flamenco” compilations. These two is great for relaxing, makes you feel your on a beach/island in vacation.haha.After my breakfast, while im listening to the cds,im also reading a book “internet programming with vbscript & javascript” because i just want to learn more(self study daw!haha) these knowledge though can give you an edge for jobs.I’m also studying some publishing programs late last night like “Quark Xpress” and more of flash “actionscripting”..im eager to learn all that our “marketing front” school cannot offer.haha.I also want to learn unix programming(too ambitious!LOL).Last night after that self study things,i watched “La Mala Educacion” a spanish film directed by Pedro Almodovar, its really provocative and original.I’ll review it later!Have a nice weekend to all!
early issues
July 13, 2005A usual day today except for the news.I was early at the office,we did some simulations and other work related things and be dissmissed early.Lunchtime,we went to megamall to eat and do window shopping(but i did buy a few things). From office to megamall,we walked.Into the mall, the restos are full so we decided to go up to 4th floor to eat there..we had a great lunch. After that i bought some blank cds and magazines to read.haha.By 2pm,we parted our ways and im off to the mrt station.im planning earlier to go to fully booked but i have to give something for my friend’s thesis(hey Goodluck to you all!).I’ll update you later on my latest music and movie.
They will..
July 10, 2005
Today i was a bit tired coming from my friend’s house. We had the usual “tambay” ritual.haha.We ended up doing soundtrips, kulitan and later on ordering pizzas(with extra extra chili!).A great second one!haha. But bit off though, the barkada is not complete. The fencing geek is with his cousin that time and the egg geek is on the otherside of the world!haha. While soundtriping,we also watched comedy central shows.Certainly,im not complete inside myself(read past entries) i called her last night, she seems fine.Just to hear her voice brings me comfort and turns away my worries. In that span of time being with your closest friends,i was quite contented.Past 2 am or so we got to nap a little bit and earlier morning we ended up watching a movies including a great one “taegukgi”.I’ve seen it a couple of times before. It’s a story of two brothers in the korean war,The older one kept protecting and sacrificing for his little brother. He even got a medal of honor for his brother(a medal of honor then is equal to a soldier’s wish or demand). His little brother though cannot really understand why his elder one keep sacrificing, doing things and have the undying support for him.The cost of the medal cost some lives of thier platoon too but his older one is very eager putting his life in every offense they are engaging on for the medal and eventually,he can send his little brother home again.”if only one of us will live,i want it to be you.You are the only hope of our family” quoted from the movie.Thats a snippet of the movie for you!i will write a full review of it when i get my blog in normal working condition again(experiencing some errors). We ate(a not so luch meal, goofy instants but an enjoyable one) after seeing the movies at about past lunchtime then headed back again to talks, sound trips and camera trips. When it’s time to go about late afternoon,We said goodbyes and till next times..sure it will..This Has Been our ritual..haha.I commuted with duds(a.k.a Lockjaw),while we were on the trip,i started again to think of her,the what ifs and hows, and a lot of other interrogatives going through my mind about her.And then the thoughts of the morals in the movie taegukgi came out from nowhere. The movie strengthened my belief on my current motto “In this world, all are illussions. You Just have to decide what would be true.” The ending of the film was a tearjerker(It’s all for you to know) i garantee for most of who will view it..Endline,The movie is really emphasizing on a person’s will, heart, love and sacrifice for his closest ones. And somehow that is all you need to make the difference. If you have to give your 200% of all your capabilities, love and understanding for the ones who matters most to you.Even If They and others can’t understand why. But,Someday they will.THEY WILL.
“It’s not difficult to jump, neither you’ll jump high or low. What is Difficult and matters most is your willingness to”-J.M.
Japan-nice!
July 8, 2005This week, the first trailer of king kong invaded Japan. It’s a bit suprising
that it included an introduction by peter jackson(like a classic film
with intros from the director). It’s Quite great. In wellington now, they
are still busy editing the final picture and enhancing kong to be much
more realistic.Possibly the kong premiere will be on two
cities, wellington and new york on december.Meantime watch PJ’s
introduction of his latest film.click here(flash required).
War Pigs!
A tough day.Considering all the political issues of our country that came out today.People again protesting on the streets while the greedy polititians are busy brainwashing and lambasting the minds of the common people to fight and urging them to move against the current administration. If they would be successful doing that,Who will control our system? The same old greedy politicians who only want power, because power is everything in our country.Yeah right! and the Sagas would go on until Edsa will be like a tele-series that never seem to have and end going around and around with the same characters!Or Should i say another “Acting President?”whew! only here in the philippines! All i can say to these current situations is people specially the youth should speak thier own mind and think rather than be brainwashed by thunderous nonsense speeches of the opposing faction. That’s why our brain is on our head, not on our feet,Because its an instict to think first. We must follow the rules of law so we will end up in a more stable country..There is a saying “In philippines,Law is a suggestion” Well It’s True!..A great song for this time is Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs’ haha.I’m a fan of thiers. It was originally written for the vietnam war and the politics then.It can apply to this present situation. This is for the politicians who doesnt know what they are doing to this country because they are not the ones experiencing the effects of the actions they made or will do,they care only about thier families, thier mansions, thier luxury cars they have and doesnt really give a damn to those common people as long as they have the power,Thats It.
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death’s construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait ’till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning
As the war machine keeps burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of God has sturck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
All right now!
Sunshines and Reflections
July 7, 2005Today.Nonetheless,a good day.But there is a missing big chunk of my puzzle without it i cant be complete everyday.Im longing for you.I know its a contrast that i have to adjust by myself. But everytime i adjust i cant seem to find the right blend, only too dark or too light without you.Im trying hard though, for the better of both of us..Come sunshine, early this morning i was eager to get up to go to my training.I was walking through the ortigas stretch by 9am.Nothing was new, mcdonald’s is fully loaded, cars passing by,buildings are still there the overpass on emerald ave. is nearly finished and the sun shines down on me.One thing new though is my songs on my player. When i passed by the overpass, it played Duran Duran’s ‘Ordinary World’.It grabbed my attention! The lyrics felt like i was the one described by the song.haha.It’s a melodramatic song yet an uplifting one.As i cruised emerald ave.the song kept playing as im nearing the entrance of the office,It made me think that somewhere and somehow,”i’ll find the missing peice of my puzzle again and be more careful of keeping it so that it would not be lost again”,As i looked up to the top of the tall buildings and The light of the sun reflects on thier windows. It made me feel comforted for a while holding on to that thought as i went inside the office. This song is for you.I’m lucky though It’s not a rainy thursday,It would be a tearjerker for me if it rained earlier morning.haha!
Note: (I still cry for yesterday..haha.trying not to)
Came in from a rainy Thursday
On the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV
And the radio
Still I can’t escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some are saying
Where is the life that I recognize?
Gone away
But I won’t cry for yesterday
There’s an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence
Once prompted you to say
“Pride will tear us both apart”
Well now pride’s gone out the window
Cross the rooftops
Run away
Left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me?
Crazy, some’d say
Where is my friend when I need you most?
Gone away
But I won’t cry for yesterday
There’s an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Papers in the roadside
Tell of suffering and greed
Here today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh, here besides the news
Of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk
And I don’t cry for yesterday
There’s an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Every one
Is my world, I will learn to survive
Any one
Is my world, I will learn to survive
Any one
Is my world
Every one
Is my world
World Music and Kong Updates
July 5, 2005I recently bought this putumayo(music company specializing in world music) cd called “nuevo latino” which features a great collection of island/hispanic music.Really loved the tracks on the cd with its soothing tunes.A great cd to have but prices of these Putumayo cds are a bit high, mainly priced at 600-1000+ php, compared to regular 400 peso cds because its imported(i hope there would be a sale of these cds!,so i can buy a few more!) haha.
Here are some pics from the production diary.24 weeks to go!

Well,It was’nt well today considering the weather. It Makes me think backwards when it rains “nostalgia”..haha.I got up early only to chew up my breakfast, then back again to bed for another 2 hours or so.I got up again by past 10am,called up the trainer “saying that i’ll be late/sir traffic eh!” haha.I arrived there minutes before lunchtime so naturally when i got in the room, nobody was in.I did go down again to have a break also, but i can’t find my co-trainees(i guessed they are in the mall that time). So i picked up a hot chocolate drink and a burger(im not that hungry, but i felt sleepy parin like the man in the tv ad of Lucky me supreme).I sat on the open area of the fastfood chain so i could see if any of my co-trainees are passing by if they are. After about 15 minutes and finished my meal, the rain stopped for a while, the cars and people are passing by i saw a man in longsleeves walking slowly to cross the otherside of emerald ave. Then i thought of a local tv ad,”lucky me supreme”/”Madaming Benefits”.The scene was exactly this one and it is the same place.only the man in the ad ended up in 7eleven eating which is on the otherside where i am sitting that time.before the 30 minute mark of sitting there,I did see some of my co-trainees passing by so i called and joined them back to the office. They said they were in the mall to have lunch(as i predicted) “Nag KFC kami” they said.Training resumed and we had a practical test. After that session we went together to MRT with our jackets on.It was quite a dismal day for me,the rain brought me some memories,it’s automatic for me when it rains( i dont know why).I was so lazy to think anything beyond that.haha.Unfortunately i wasnt able to go to AFPI this day also.maybe this week! I’ll Have my dinner now.
Hourtigas.
July 4, 2005Today..what was today? It was a gloomy day.haha.Dark Skies greeting me to get up and be ready for training.I was feeling too lazy to get up(I watched the magny cours f1 grand prix last night which is fantastic! and some 2 dvds before sleeping) and wishing to hear the song “manic monday” haha, but ending up to go to my training(it’s fun you know) haha. Lunchtime, got out of the office with some co-trainees.When it started to drizzle,so i put on my jacket quickly before the drizzle became rain drops.Luckily we got to where we are eating not looking like we circled the ortigas center 5 times dripping.haha.I got to eat a ready to serve rice meal and a refreshing c2,they got the same rice meals also but different “ulam” hehe.We talkd about those things in training bla bla and stuffs about jobs.whew! Suddenly i realized soon ill be on a job na din, well in full shifts i hope. Then Back to our office, which is not very near on the place we are eating but only walking distance. We passed by on the all famous “starbucks” which is everyday filled with suited professionals sipping a cup of thier preffered flavor, while smoking and mingling with thier colleagues.on the otherside there is 711 which is filled also by lunchtime.Look into the otherside again, there is banco de oro, standard chartered, metro bank.etc.They are also filled with people by lunchtime and afternoon because most of the people there got thier money in thier atm accounts which also the companies are offering as your option for your salary. Then there is one japanese restaurant that caught my attention,i peeked through its window,it looked cozy in there with dim lights and great ambiance. But with a few people(most of them couples) only considering its lunchtime, well it might be expensive there or it’s a great dining for two place.haha. I love seeing things that are not so interesting as others might see them.It enriches your views and perspectives in this everchanging world.haha Back to the office, straight up to a few floors with that high speed elevator(i really enjoy it everytime i’m in there, its really fast compared to other standard elevators, makes my stomach tickle, you’ll feel a rush of blood through the head)haha. In to the room,it’s cold! we went to do a few more technical things and then dissmissed.By that time i got to the facade of the office, the sun is up with clouds covering it.I picked up again a C2 drink,go walk to megamall and buy a few things(CD’s and a case for it,i cant figure out how can i arrange my cds so i put them to cases nalang.haha.).I got a putumayo CD again,a bit pricey, but real great music. Then up to the cyberzone section in the 4th floor, which i bought some blanks. Then “kaboom” this is a great moment, when i came across the store where thier window featured my ^dream digital slr camera^..haha. Everything around me slowed.I was focused to this thing alone. It’s a real great thing to have 8 megs of resolution,12x deadly optical zoom, great image processor, manual controls.etc.I’ts a work of art and technology, but the price is too high.I can buy a good digicam (the stylish and slim ones) though but not as good as it is..I WANT THAT!So I promised to myself “i’ll be back” for it.haha.maybe a couple of months from now..While going down to the ground floor of the mall,i saw a widesheet(a poster in wide view) of Peque Gallaga’s(FYI-real name: Pete Gallagher).I’ve known this film since it’s official site came online last may.Im looking forward to watch it because it will be a great movie i suppose. Also, the soundtrack of this film features the best of our indie bands.By that time it’s rush hour,so i went to the mrt and back to where i am sitting right now! By tommorow i’m planning to go to APFI(film school, which is in ortigas also) to know what are the requirements and pre-bla bla things before admission.Well,That’s for now. : )
It’s not suspicious! It’s Unusual.
July 2, 2005
I recently watched Millions by Danny Boyle(Shallow grave,trainspotting,28 days later). It’s about a family(a father and two brothers damian and anthony who recently lost thier mother).Damian a weird boy Sees things and visions and all sorts of imaginations specially saints.Thats what all he had after her mother died. His brotherAnthony,A typical gradeschool boy.And Thier Father who tries to give the best for the comfort of his sons. The setting of the film is in uk on the brink of currency unification(Pound to euro) with other europan countries. One Day While damian playing on his own built carton house near the train tracks,A bag full of money(pounds) fell from nowhere. He quickly showed it to anthony which said that they should hide it.The contrast of the story begins here.DAmian sees a chance to help others and beleived that the money came from god.Anthony sees another oppurtunity to spend the money on cool things one can have and be a popular figure in school. The Story actually is for younger audiences but the director Danny Boyle is brilliant enough to merge a story like this to a stunning visual feast and cinematography that others might want to see in the film.Specially Like the Scenes in trainspotting,You can expect it too on this great film.Bottomline here is,money complicates things.it may seem great in a short period of time but in the long run as you experience life and its challenges. Money is just secondary to The happiness of simplicity ang togetherness in each other’s lives. It’s True you know,i have my own experiences of a kind of life everybody is dreaming about, when i was a kid and growing up.Rich personalities and celebreties whom i didn’t know that time greets me on my birthdays.A house with a chapel inside it.Out of town trips ever single week.Going with my uncles on Golf weekends. But gained no support i needed as a growing person.Well that’s the PAST,i dont want to dig deeper to it.haha.Sharing and giving is also a keypoint to the story, which the film is also involved through a fund raising program “Water Aid-Water For Life” for the poor people in africa and around the world The ending is about that.Great first performace of the 9 year old actor Alex Etel. You can expect more from him in the coming years.Lastly,The Film’s Hour and a half runtime is quite short but short as GREAT! Iwould recommend this film for everyone who wants to see a fun, visual, uplifting film. Here are some Screenshots from the film.More Screenshots HERE and HERE.
St. CLaire is having a good time here.
What will i do if i have this?An Alienware PC would be a start!
F1 is burning
July 1, 2005Recently,FIA had a hearing with the 7 teams that boycotted the U.S. Grand prix because thier tires(michelin) are not safe running in the indianapolis track..Actually Michelin also announced the desicion also not to run thier tires on that sunday race after an accident again by ralf schumacher. The Teams are found guilty of two reasons.Argh! Max Mosely is really a draconian! But no penalty will be applied to the teams until september because the FIA and F1 itself is busy getting back for its spectators and fans after that shameful act with micheal schumacher winning (no challenge win)! read on..
The seven teams who withdrew from the recent United States Grand Prix, namely McLaren, Renault, Williams, BAR, Red Bull, Sauber and Toyota, have been found guilty on two charges of bringing the sport into disrepute, and not guilty on three, at the meeting of the FIA World Council this morning.
The guilty charges are:
‘Failing to ensure that they were in possession of suitable tyres for the US Grand Prix, but with strong mitigating circumstances’
And ‘wrongfully refusing to allow their cars to start the race, having regard to their right to use the pitlane on each lap’.
The teams were also found not guilty on the following charges:
‘Refusing to race subject to any speed restriction, having regard to the absence of any detailed plan for this’;
‘Combining to make a demonstration for the reason that they had hoped to race until the last minute’;
‘failing to inform the stewards of their intention not to start for the same reason as above’;
However, the Council will not discuss any penalties until an extraordinary meeting of the WMSC is held on 14th September.
In addition, the Council will also consider what steps have been taken by Michelin and the seven teams to compensate the fans, and to repair the damage done to both the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the sport itself, as well as what steps have been taken to ensure that an incident such as this does not happen again.
In the light of Michelins gesture yesterday in which the company offered substantial compensation in the way of money and tickets, the outcome appears not to be as negative as earlier reports suggested, and it would appear that any apparent threat to this weekend’s French Grand Prix should have been averted.
We await the promised response from the team representatives with interest.
