Today,apple Launched and raised thier arsenal again with thier new line of IPODs(ipod video) and MACs.I changed my mind after some reviews and comments on the current nano.The nano ipods didnt sell well because there are many owners complaining that its easy screen scratch up and here at the mall,i saw a girl buying one and she’s testing it,said “di ko ma-pause”..Hmmmm..in actual size the nano is tiny and the click-wheel is too..For me its for of a fad gadget rather than based on functionality.But its a brave try for apple.It surely did change the pace of digital music player industry.About the new IPOD,It’s the size of the older genereation ipods but slimmer,it also sport a new 2.5 inch colored lcd monitor and an improved battery life of up to 20 hours.Main features include,it now supports videos and photo slideshows.It does come in 30 and 60 gig models.my estimate for it would be 24,000 php for the 30 gig one and 28,000 php for the 60gb model.sounds like fun,yet its not for everyone..Apple is also planning to release a new ipod mini line,and it features a more cheaper flash-based disk space/memory to cut the cost of that ipod and a 1.5 lcd monitor..I would say,if its true they should sell it in the $140-150 mark..Meanwhile,on thier MACs,The new G5 got a facelift and comes with more power for video and multimedia programs..Probably when i have that kind of my own money to own a G5 or a powerMAC,i’ll pick one up.Meantime my plan is,when i got to uprade my pc right now,ill change my OS to the new Ubuntu 5.10(which i ordered free,i do have the version 5.04)..The BSA/NBI’s Campaign on antipiracy and optical media piracy is one of the effective campaigns so far,because its an international one.A lot of computer shops closed for a week,i did talk to some LAN-shop owners,One did buy several windows xp cd’s before any inspection on his shop with a tag of 9,500 each(because of the demand) it usually sells for 8400.He said,It will have you relaxed and confident!I did recommend some opensource programs for his units like openoffice,gimp,audacity..etc..His shop is now a kick ass one,and he said i can work with them when he opens a new branch..You can report any company that use pirated softwares,it has a reward!

Ive been also thinking of aquiring studio equipments.Because my friends and i decided to put up one..though it may require time and a lot of hardwork to earn the kind of money to get these equipments,we’ll figure it out..For now,ill stick with the m-audio 2496(which eric of fuseboxx recommends) its cheaper and pratical for us starting in this industry and probably ill buy another headphone for xmas.Its seems that i have a lot of wishes,material things.But i think that’s the challenge if you can get what you have been wanting.and of course,share them with your talents and expertise with these tools. lastly,let me share my dream personal recording console in my room and probably i will couple it with a powermac g5! Im dreaming!haha.
